The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II was given a picture of her and King George VI (her father). While on a visit to Germany, looking at the picture, the Queen asked Is that supposed to be my father?"
The stylised painting of the Queen sat on a pony while her father looked on also prompted her to say: "That's a funny colour for a horse".
The painting by artist Nicole Leidenfrost was given to the Queen from German president Gauck (as tradition demands) as she and Prince Philip received a ceremonial welcome in Berlin.
Mr Gauck asked her: "Don't you recognise him? and she replied: "No".
